The purpose of Dr. Shah’s 5D Rhinoplasty approach is to think about the nose in multiple dimensions, not just the bridge or the tip.
One dimension that doesn’t get talked about enough is length. In this patient’s before photo, the nose reads slightly longer in relation to the rest of her face. By subtly shortening the nose, Dr. Shah was able to bring it into better proportion with her other features so the entire face feels more balanced.
You can also see smaller refinements from the front. The shadows fall more evenly along the nose, the tip appears more symmetric, and the nose competes less with the rest of her features, allowing her eyes to stand out even more.
Her main concern, however, was still her profile. Dr. Shah softened that appearance using an ultrasonic reshaping approach, creating a smoother contour without making the nose look overdone.
That is the idea behind 5D Rhinoplasty: making several thoughtful, often subtle adjustments that work together to create a nose that fits the face more naturally.
