Retinol is a form of Vitamin A, a time-tested ingredient which improves the appearance of fine lines (in around 4 weeks), wrinkles (in around 12 weeks), skin texture and smoothness. These Cream formulations are appropriate for normal to dry skin. Decades of research have found that retinol are one of the few skin care ingredients to combat aging.

Every patient’s tolerance of retinol is different and so 3 different strengths have been formulated based on your skin. Retinol Lieve is the lightest strength at .5% and is a great product for patients starting out with a retinol or who have sensitive skin. Retinol Mezzo has a medium strength of 1% retinol to combat aging and is the most popular product as it strikes the balance of enough strength to allow patients to wear this product daily. Finally, Retinol Forza is one of the strongest formulations at 1.5% retinol and is designed for patients who are looking for the most robust results.

Helpful hint:

Our retinol is time released so that patients can use it every day or every other day so start with a lower formula and increase both strength and duration. Since the product is lipophilic, the product continues to work over a period of days.

Difensa Acqua Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 is a combination of micronized Titanium and Zinc oxides, fortified with the powerful antioxidant Melanin, Vitamins C, E and Ferulic acid ester, in an emollient silicone elastomer vehicle. This daily facial photoprotection contains rich moisturizers and natural barrier lipids for patients with drier skin. Difensa Acqua is fragrance-free and preservative-free.

Difensa il Viso

Difensa il Viso is a broad-spectrum sunscreen that works wonderfully under makeup for daily use. This sunscreen is formulated with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to provide sun protection. The formula is enhanced by the addition of melanin, a naturally occurring antioxidant pigment in the skin. This formula creates both a barrier as well as allowing the antioxidant to help prevent breakdown of collagen. The silky, matte-finish ensures that makeup will glide on smoothly, without a caked-on appearance or feel.

Helpful tip:

Apply this as a last step in your AM skin routine so that it can be the final layer of protection between the sun’s harmful rays. Consider Difensa il Aqua if your skin is dry.

Skin Brightening Cream Luminoso

Luminoso

A unique skin brightener, Luminoso combines Kojic acid, Hydroxy acids, Vitamin C and is fortified with Green Tea. This product improves the appearance of skin tone. Luminoso is best for drier skin types and can be customized for the patient by combining it with other products. The advantage of Kojic acid is that it is natural lightener which helps even skin tone. Hydroxy acids can promote skin turnover and improvement as well creating improved skin texture. Vitamin C provides antioxidant and skin brightening benefits.

Helpful tip:

This product can be refrigerated, especially when compounded with other products which will improve the overall freshness and duration of product. When compounded with Arbutin type derivatives (our office uses a variant as strong as hydroxyquinone but without the side effects) this product can create substantial lightening due to the double lightening effect. This product is often compounded with retinols in our office for a powerful triple strength lightner, retinol and exfoliation in one.

Since this product is fat soluble, it can be used every day, every other day and the product will still be active in the skin. This product can be applied to skin after washing the face and used in conjunction with other products.

Frequency:

Use this product every other day when using a separate Retinol. Can use this product daily to promote more rapid turnover and lightening and evening of skin tone.

Sera Brillante

Sera Brillante pads contains Phytic, Lactic and Azelaic acids. The easy-to-apply pad facilitates uniform application to broad skin surfaces. These pads help retexturize skin by improving skin tone and exfoliating the skin.

Helpful tip:

These pads only need to be used once week and are a great way to exfoliate the skin.

Our Complesso C products contain a form of Vitamin C clinically demonstrated to improve skin appearance. The antioxidant cocktail of Vitamins C & E and Green Tea, paired with penetration-enhancing hydroxyacids, makes them among the most potent ingredients available. Complesso C is for normal to oily skin types.

Helpful tip:

Since Complesso C is light sensitive we advise patients to apply this product at night. Complesso C is often used in synergy with Retinol helping skin recover faster.

Acqua Profondo C

A unique hyaluronic acid-based, oil-free gel designed to enhance skin moisture and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid is one of the primary components of skin and hydration in our bodies helping skin look both plump and luscious. The natural aging process causes our bodies to produce less hyaluronic acid which can cause skin to become drier and look duller. Acqua Profondo can be applied under make-up, sunscreen or moisturizer and is appropriate for all skin types. It is also useful as a light moisturizer for oily skin. Acqua Profondo can be used in combination with other products to help create an improved overall texture for the skin.

Helpful tip:

Patients often mix this product with our Difensa Aqua to create a hydrating sun screen which will prevent the drying that occurs with most sunblocks. Since this is powerful product, a little drop will often be sufficient.

Frequency:

Can be used twice a day.

Creme il Massimale is a rich creme, not a foam or lather. It stays down at the hair roots to give a clean, smooth shave that feels better and lasts longer than those given by traditional shaving creams. This shaving creme is designed for patients with sensitive skin as it offers a non irritating answer. The skin is noticeably smoother for most patients after this making rougher legs and faces much smoother and improved.

Helpful tip:

This is a great product for dry skin and irritated skin.

Frequency:

Daily use of product is recommended until smoother skin is realized. For many patients, using this product once a week will still promote smoother legs and faces.
