At 9 months post-op, this patient’s rhinoplasty shows an important part of nasal surgery that you can’t fully appreciate in a before-and-after photo: better breathing.
In addition to refining the external shape of the nose, Dr. Shah corrected her deviated septum. A deviated septum can narrow the internal nasal airway and make breathing through one or both sides of the nose more difficult. Straightening the septum helps create a more open, functional airway while also providing a stronger foundation for the cosmetic changes.
Aesthetically, Dr. Shah refined the bridge and tip while preserving proportions that fit naturally with her features. Functionally, the goal was equally important: a nose that not only looks more balanced, but works better too.
