How long does it generally take for the anesthesia to wear off?

For general anesthesia, it typically takes about 24 hours to completely leave your system. IV sedation effects usually subside in about 12 hours. Local anesthesia duration is around 12 hours with Marcaine and 4 hours with Lidocaine.

Is there anything I can take that will speed up recovery time, reduce bruising, etc?

I have never taken a prescription pain pill before and have a sensitive stomach. Are there any alternatives to this?

If you cannot tolerate prescription pain pills, alternatives include Tylenol Extra Strength or Ultram.
