Let’s take a second to destigmatize the medical aspect of this.
Everyone has body insecurities, especially in the age of social media. It’s estimated that adults in the United States are exposed to over 4,000 advertisements daily, and in a major city like Chicago, that number can climb to upwards of 10,000. How many of those include models with “perfect” bodies? How many times a day are we sold the notion that our bodies are less than? Imperfect?
In our practice we hear it daily. “My nose doesn’t look how they do in the movies” “My forehead isn’t perfect like hers.” “What do I need to do to look young again? I look so old now.” And while we believe that no one, ever, should be pressured to feel that way about their body, our practice exists to treat the inescapable symptom created by our culture of perfection. And yes, that includes Male Enhancement, so let’s talk about it honestly and without dancing around the topic.
Our patients come to us looking to increase the girth and/or length of their penis. They’re dissatisfied with some part of their anatomy, and we do our part to treat that.
Our team will sit down with our patient and have a full consultation on exactly where their areas of concern are, what their ideal outcomes are, and discuss how we can bridge that gap. After that, they numb the shaft of the penis to ensure the most comfort possible to the patient, and they’ll inject a hyaluronic acid-based filler strategically around the length of the shaft.
And this does show real change. Our patients see marked improvement to their girth and, depending on the anatomy, length. Like any filler, this does eventually break down over time and need to be touched up.
So, okay, that’s the whole deal with what male enhancement is, but why in the world were athletes (allegedly) doing this in the Olympics?
Because of—checks notes—skiing suits and aerodynamics? They could apparently get a larger sized skiing suit if they had larger penises, the looseness of which can help catch wind in their jumps and carry them further like a sail?
I dunno man, this is a plastic surgeon’s office, not a sports podcast.
