This patient was seeking to enhance his facial features for modeling/acting. In addition, he had difficulty breathing through his right nostril, where you can see darker shadowing on the preoperative views. This area corresponds to a weak lower lateral cartilage. His nasal septum was deviated to the right causing significant nasal blockage.

A long consultation process took place to meet with the patient and understand his personal needs, goals, and aesthetic. He desired a more masculine looking nose and to improve his breathing.

Dr. Shah's early postoperative result demonstrates a stronger profile view. The patient's bridge of the nose was raised to inpart a more masculine look. The bridge was raised with cartilage from the patient's septum and alloderm to act as a scaffolding. The weak lower lateral cartilage present on the right side of the patient's nose has been fortified with cartilage grafting. In addition, the patient's septum has been straightened. His overall breathing has improved significantly.

Dr. Shah utilized an external approach on this operation. The patient's result is early and there is still considerable swelling in the patient's tip. The nasal tip is the last area where the swelling will reduce and at one year, 50% of the nose is healed.
