Many models, actors, and entertainers select Dr. Shah based on his unique abilities to create a natural, beautiful look. This clientle seeks subtle changes with minimal downtime. Many of these patients like their appearance and wish to change one or two features while maintaining their overall look.

This example is of a male model who already is a successful model but is seeking a very slight change to his nose. He has been kind enough to share his story and enthusiasm for his results. His goals are for a slightly, straighter nose, to remove the knob along his right nasal tip. Just as importantly, he wants a nose which is distinctly masculine and does not want his nose to look like a nose job. In addition, he has recognition within the industry so he can not have a drastic change or significant downtime. In addition, the patient has a scar along his right nostril which is highlighted which he did not want to address.

Based on his goals for his nose, I decided to perform his nose with a closed technique. Both an open and a closed technique have merits and downsides, so it is important to use both without bias.

The downtime for the patient was limited a few weeks after surgery before he was able to be photographed again. These postoperative pictures were taken two years after his rhinoplasty. His result demonstrates improvement in the symmetry of his nose and the nasal tip has been softened. The collection of subtle changes overall leads to an improved aesthetic without changing his appearance and who he is. Many patients will ask to look different but the same. Although this may seem like a a paradox, I believe it reflects how many patients like how they overall look, but still wish to change something in a natural way which is harmonious with the facial structure.
