Ice After Facelift

A facelift involves repositioning the deeper tissues in an effort to rejuvenate the face.  During the first 72 hours after the lift, ice allows for reduction of bruising and swelling.

Instructions for use of ice:

  1. Most patients prefer use of icepacks wrapped in a towel.
  2. Ice is applied to neck, face, behind the ear and to the eyes continuously for the first 72 hours to minimize bruising and swelling.
