Atlean TCP
The manufactureer of Atlean claims this is a new product similar to Sculptra. The main issue with Sculptra is that patients have to wait 1-2 months to see any changes. Atlean is actually a combination of hyaluronic acid with tri-calcium phosphate. This product seems to actually be a fusion of Radiesse and Restylane with one component lasting 3 months and another lasting roughly a year and half. Tri-calcium phosphate has been used in bone regeneration after fractures.

This product line is crated by a Swiss laboratorie called Teoxane. The Teosyal products are hylaruonic acid derivatives and comprise an effort by a company to provide the complete spectrum of applications of each product. Longer use of this product will see how it differs from products FDA approved such as Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm Ultra Plus.
Macrolane
This is the first body shaping and volume restoration product which uses hylaruonic acid. It has been reportedly used for breast reshaping, buttox and even asymmetries from liposuction. It is said to last about a year and half.
Belotero
Another HA product which is made with a unique fashion, biofermenation. This makes the product more biocompatible according to Swiss manufacturer Anteis. It supposedly will gives the product a unique consistency allowing for less early irregularities with its use.
How can I eliminate swelling after facial filler injections?
The number one factor in reducing excessive swelling after facial filler injections is gentle technique. Rough injection technique can lead to more pronounced bruising and swelling. An allergic reaction to a facial filler (NASHA) is quite rare at 1 in 2000 and manifests as local swelling, redness, and tenderness.
Tips to decrease swelling after NASHA facial fillers: -Ice- Especially immediately after the injection -Avoid medications which can promote bruising and bleeding -A gentle touch by the injector -Antihistamine post procedure- particularly after lip augmentation, there is a dramatic reduction in swelling. the best antihistamine for this is Benadryl but it can make you sleepy. Claritin is OK to use as well.
The latest in facial fillers
Many of the latest facial fillers are first being used in Europe and Canada several years before being used in the USA.
