How much does a rhinoplasty cost?

The cost of cosmetic surgery is dependent on several factors.  First of all, the location of the surgery will have a major impact on cost.  Generally speaking, the same procedure performed in the Midwest will cost less than either the west or east coasts.  Increased expertise and reputation of the surgeon can also result in a higher surgical fee.  However, higher cost does not necessarily mean a better result or correlate with a better surgeon.  The surgeon’s fee is also affected by the anticipated effort and time required of the surgeon.  For example, two separate rhinoplasty operations may result in two drastically different costs, if one is technically more difficult and results in a longer operative time commitment for the surgeon.  Finally, there are associated fees with any surgery including the anesthesiologist’s fee, laboratory testing, and cost of medications.  The table below refers to the national average cost of some of the most popular procedures.  Please refer to the webpage www.aafprs.org for more detailed information.
